Do you have some smelly old carpets that get right up your nose? Well, using just two ingredients (Bicarbonate of Soda & Essential Oil) you can restore some freshness again.
Add 1/2 cup of Bicarbonate of Soda into a bowl (120g), give it a stir to loosen it, then add in 10 drops of your favourite essential oil. I like fruity zesty ones, but if you have pets, then I would only recommend lavender because most others can be harmful. Stir it in until you no longer see the oil clumps.
Let that infuse for about an hour. Then, after an hour, spoon the mixture across your carpet – and leave for another hour on the floor.
After an hour, grab your vacuum cleaner and use it to remove all traces of the mixture.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the freshness.
