Fizzy Cleaning Pops, are a great way to keep at home a natural powerhouse cleaner that will breakdown limescale, scrub up baths, sinks and even clean drains.
All you need to do is add 1/2 cup of citric acid to 1 full cup of bicarbonate of soda. Add 30 drops of your favourite essential oil, and mix evenly.
Then, the careful part is that you need to spray water in short bursts into the mix. Then stir really hard to stop the slight fizz – we don’t want this mixture to react just yet. Repeat a few times until you have a tough, doughy consistency that you know you can mould in your hands, or compress really well.
Using gloves, grab the mixture into your hands, compress and place into an ice-cube tray, or other moulds. Press it in hard. Then leave to dry for 4-6hrs. (I find silicon moulds are easier to remove them)
Once they are rock solid and dry, they will have a bath-bomb style to them. You can drop them into your toilet, drop into a sink of warm water, break down with a wet cloth and scrub over bath scum, and drop into your drain and pour on hot water.
