An estimated 60% of all toothbrushes have traceable amounts of poo on them; and there’s an 80% chance it’s not even your own if you share a house with other people.
Here’s a really simple way you can keep the poo at bay. First flush your toilet with the lid down so that microscopic particles are not being sprayed up into the air.
Secondly, soak the head of your toothbrush in mouthwash for 10 mins. If you don’t have any mouthwash then white vinegar for 30 mins will be just as effective.
Finally, please do not boil your toothbrush because this can really damage the plastic bristles and make it less effective.
